BORN in the USA...

Yep!!  You guessed it...we're moving back to Wichita...before the lil' wildcat gets here!!  And no, contrary to what you might be thinking by looking at the picture above...we are not moving back tomorrow because I'm secretly due next week (this picture was taken at 26 weeks exactly), and no we are not moving back because we're actually having twins:).

We may not be moving next week, but we are moving soon... the movers come two weeks from Friday, and we fly out four weeks from Monday...I'm not going to lie...there is a lot to do.  We have actually known we were moving since around mid-February (hence the last minute Paris trip), but we still had so many unanswered questions that we did not want to tell anyone.  As of Friday, we still have some unanswered questions, but we have confirmed both with the business and the movers a move date, so we're feeling pretty confident it won't change.  Plus, I can't fly past the second week of May so it had to happen sooner or later:).

We are so excited that all of our family and friends will be around to welcome this lil' wildcat just like they were for Parker.  Plus, this little one has a lot of friends who were either just born or due very soon and I am so, so happy that we will be there to meet them!

Bowling fun

This past weekend we decided to take P bowling.  We had taken him once before with my little sister (through Big Brothers Big Sisters), but he was way too young to remember and was so excited.  I love watching him try out new activities...he just gets so, so excited about the smallest things and I can't help but get caught up in his enthusiasm.

Sorry for the picture quality (not that it is ever that great), but these are phone pictures and due to the number of times I've dropped it, they are even worse than normal.

Parker LOVED playing air hockey with Daddy while we waited for a lane...he would jump up and down when either one of them scored.

My highlight of the night?  When Brady was bowling and Parker said, "mommy, come and sit by me...OHHHHHH."  Apparently, because we do this at both football and basketball games, he thinks it can be used at all sporting events.  Don't worry, we were eager to oblige.

So big.

I'm not sure why, but bowling shoes are so much cuter in little-man size.

Oh Collin...

We have a problem...at first it was just a cute obsession...you could even say that we were a little proud...but now...we have a problem.

Yesterday, Parker introduced himself to a stranger as 'Collin Klein.'  As I was telling another mother and his teacher about this when I dropped him off at school, I found out more.  Apparently, Parker has been asking all of the other kids at school and his teachers to call him 'Collin Klein' too.  The funny this is...they do.

At home, P usually comes back with "I'm Collin Klein," anytime we call him Parker.  Sometimes we give in (as in, "ok Collin Klein, please just put on your shirt," when we're running late), but usually we continue to call him Parker.

It is not only the name...Parker begins his day with K-State football highlight videos...I'm not kidding.  He wakes up around 5:45 or 6:00, comes in our room, finds the ipad, and turns on youtube.  He then takes it downstairs while I make breakfast and puts on his football helmet to pretend that he is playing along with the video.  This is usually the only time I let him watch highlight videos, but sometimes he gets to watch them while I cook dinner too.

I'll admit, we secretly love that he loves K-State as much as we do, but I'm a little worried now.  I'm not sure how to get Parker to be Parker again

Don't worry, while he is 'Collin Klein' and I am 'Chris Harper' for most situations, he does know his basketball from his football.  He is always 'Rodney McGruder' and I am always 'Shane Southwell' when we play basketball.  It just so happens that those names don't carry over to real life.

tired

We are tired over here.  Brady has been working...a lot...Monday, Wednesday and Fridays until around  8...and that is only because I have to pick him up on those days because I have the car (we take him to work on the way to take Parker to school).  So basically, I feed, bathe and read to Parker and then we go and pick up Brady and hope we can get P to go right to sleep when we get home.  Then Brady has been opening his computer while he eats.  Tuesday and Thursdays....until at least 10...twice last week was after midnight.  Oh, and don't forget about Sunday afternoons.  He is tired...we are tired...and grumpy...I guess I should clarify...I am grumpy and I'm not the one who has been working those crazy hours...poor Brady...poor Parker...poor lil' wildcat...

Good news?  Parker and I have gotten to do a lot of this...

yes, that is his 'travel' football helmet (genius) which he says also doubles as a 'motorcycle' helmet

and this...

oh and...Brady called and said he was going to be home around 6:15 tonight...woo hoo!!!!

Mum's Day!

I am such a lucky mum!! Brady took Parker out on Saturday to pick out a gift and this is what P picked out. Brady said he was very insistent and would not even look at anything else. He even had to put on his apron to take a picture! I decided not to actually put it on for this picture...no need to document the human strawberry patch that I become (those moments are saved for my lucky family:).

prepared to be huge...

Let's take a little stroll down memory lane...this picture (I can't believe I'm sharing this) was taken the day before Parker was born.  We literally took this picture, ate Sumo (spicy calamari in hopes of forcing P out on his own), then checked into the hospital so that I could begin the induction process.   Let's be honest...I.was.huge.

Fast forward to today...I have now been told three times in the last week (after being asked how far along I was), "oh, you are quite big!"  This has become my standard response, "I know; my first was over 9 pounds so I'm prepared to be huge, ha...ha...ha..."

I originally thought this time might be different.  I ran until I was 36 weeks with Parker (use the picture above to help you imagine me on a treadmill with shirts that no longer cover the bump...I bet you're smiling now:).  Because I had a period where I didn't think I was going to be able to run with this baby, I thought I might be smaller (my logic was the more I run, the hungrier I am, the more I eat, the bigger the baby gets).  However, I have been running again for the last month and a half and my appetite seems never ending.  I am a little nervous that, because it is my second, this baby could be bigger.  If I was having a second c-section, I wouldn't be worried, but I am determined to try and have a VBAC so I can't lie...the thought of having a 9+ pound baby scares the heck out of me!

Oh well, here's to slowly growing my own watermelon again!

Today

Today I had to get out the belly-band for the first time...I officially cannot button my jeans anymore (which considering the size of my stomach, is a testament to good, stretchy material).

Today Parker rode his balance bike everywhere we needed to go...he did awesome and we didn't hit one person:)...I finally feel like maybe I don't need a double stroller!

Today I realized we have a 'poopy' problem...as in Parker thinks the word is hilarious and has begun adding it to the end of everything he says...for example, 'here you go mommy poopy'...seriously, is this a boy thing?  He is currently without his jersey because of the comment above.

Today Parker told me this, "You have a baby in your belly, but Gracie doesn't have a baby in her belly...she will after I marry her..."  Oh goodness...at least he has the events in the right order...

Today Parker took his 'dancing hat' to dance class and seriously cut a rug...I think he gets his moves from me, hahahaha...

Today I ran 3.5 miles...this would not be a big deal except that I went planning on doing intervals only...I love when that happens!

Today I prayed that the migraines accompanying the nausea every day would end...soon...

Today we went to the park for the first time in a very long time...praying for more mild temperatures so that I can see more of this face...
