Oh gosh...

...this is so sad.  I am watching the K-State/OU game and decided I needed a distraction...so here I am.  We let Parker stay up for the first half; apparently he was the good luck charm keeping them alive.  I'm glad he is not watching this (mainly because he cheers every time someone scores a touchdown and I'm not sure Brady could handle that right now).  Despite the loss, Parker will still wake up tomorrow asking to watch football and wanting to put on his Wildcat jersey.   He is a true fan (just like his Daddy)...good or bad, he loves his Wildcats.  Just one of the reasons I love these boys...and why I love being a Wildcat!!  Go Cats!

Just a peak at Parker's dedication...and his well-worn Wildcat jersey (thanks Uncle Landon).  He wears it at least three times a week (don't worry, it is always clean...when he puts it on at least).

We had a battle about the undershirt, but because I knew he would roll his sweats up,  it was a battle I chose to fight.  His pants are literally rolled up to his big-boy underwear.  No kidding, I hear a man call him a "hip-hop" baby when we walked by.  Oh, and no worries, we only went to the park in this outfit, ha.

Torn between the love of his new pirate costume and his jersey, he chose to wear them together.  Yo Ho!

One of the few times this week he didn't wear the jersey (he is wearing an EMAW shirt, so no worries).  I actually got him to wear his pants down by telling him that the football players wear warm-up pants like his to keep their legs warm so they can run faster.  Apparently this was logical (as opposed to wearing pants just because it is 30 degrees outside).  Oh and if you're wondering, he is totally enthralled with a street band in this picture.

Thanks for this post, Samantha. I needed it. Makes yesterday's nightmare not quite so bad! Go 'Cats!
