About three weeks ago, Parker heard "Firework" on a commercial on TV. Since then, he has been singing it all over the place. His version is "Baby you're a fire-go-work." When I take out the jogging stroller, I always turn on the iPod speakers and within the first five minutes he is asking to listen to the song. Once he hears it the first time, I hear "mommy, baby fire-go-work" every time the song ends. Which of course means that we listen to that song about 25 times in the course of our run. Today, the "make me go ah, ah, ah" part just happened to come on when we passed an elderly couple. I'm pretty sure they looked at me like I was the worst mother ever. Oops. It's not bad...it just sounds bad if you hear it out of context...right?
Oh, and I promise that, if he lets me, he listens to "count to twenty" and the "alphabet song" instead:)!

Speakers for the running stroller? Tell me more. We still listen to Baby Oh on repeat. Katy Perry would be a welcome break!
I KNEW Rachel would beat me to the comments. Baby Oh was a Finn favorite. I also tried to convince him that he loved Adele with varying degrees of success.
We were treated to rounds and rounds of "Yellow Submarine" . . . din der dun der deen. We all live in a din der dun der deen . . .
All the way down the mountain from Cowles to our cabin . . . and more. Yes, we remember well. Enjoy, because it goes away too quickly.
