Sunday was 65 degrees so we decided to go to the beach (for those of you at home, I know it seems cruel to mention any temperature under 100...sorry!) Just to give you a frame of reference, we are very close to the North Sea so that is the body of water we visited. Some of Brady's coworkers suggested that we travel about an hour to Southwold. Southwold is a quintessential seaside town; it has an adorable pier and a wonderful downtown area with lots of shops. We were chilly when we got out of the car and were expecting others to be the same, but were surprised to find some (a majority) of people in swimming suits getting in the water. It was crazy! I saw a woman and her husband in jackets and tried to get Brady to turn around and follow them; I figured we could be friends, but Brady said no. It was a great day. We did everything you're supposed to do; eat fish and chips, play in the side and walk in the water. Great day!
A view of part of the shorefront. |
Don't worry--we brought the backpack:) |
Parker LOVED playing in the sand. (Thank you for the bucket and shovel Aunt Pat) |
I'm looking at this and can't really remember why we took off his shirt... |
Parker feeling the water for the first time. It was pretty cold so he didn't want to do it very often. |
I know, I know, a typical "mouth-open" sam picture... |
P was pretty serious about his sand. We had a wonderful day!! |
